Burnside Bibs Overalls Pattern

This is an intermediate level pattern in sizes 00 - 20. The Burnside Bibs are not your traditional work overalls: yes, they are comfortable and easy to wear, but they are much more stylish and feminine than traditional overalls!  The over-the-shoulder straps criss-cross your back and tie around the waist, offering adjustable sizing and extra comfort.  Choose a fabric with some drape such as Brussels Washer linen-rayon and pair them with a blouse and heels for a dressed up look.  Or use a more traditional lightweight denim or linen (like Essex linen-cotton) and wear them with a tee shirt and sneakers or clogs for a more casual approach.

Options & Features:
Version #1 is a more fitted back pant with back waist darts and an invisible side zipper opening, with the ties forming a small gather at the back waist.
Version #2 is a looser back pant that slips on over your hips and does not have a zipper, making this version fuller and more gathered in the back. Use your hip measurement to determine your size.

Both versions also feature a front waistband, curved front patch pockets, optional back pockets, and cross-back shoulder straps that are threaded through the back waist belt loops to form gathers at the  back.  There are two front bib options - a scooped neck or the traditional straight front, both of which can be used with either Version #1 or #2.  The pant legs are somewhat wide and can be made full length or cropped.
